Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As a technical lead you will help drive the embedded software development in structured R&D projects and in software ecosystems for prototyping. You will contribute to innovation projects, enable software ecosystems for prototyping, collaborate with partner teams, and establish an internal/external network.

Drive embedded software development projects with a strong focus on quality, time-to-market and technology trends

Collaborate closely with Business Lines and adjacent domains, such as system and application engineering

Develop, test and verify embedded software in the field of embedded system projects

Enable Infineon MCU portfolios for Arduino and ROS software ecosystems

Develop and test embedded SW libraries mainly for actuators and sensors for Infineon MCU hardware platforms

Effectively capture, analyze and understand requirements and break down into structured work packages

Align with internal and external stakeholders and represent Infineon at events such as trade fairs and university fairs

Support and mentor junior embedded software experts through knowledge exchange, peer reviews, and technical sparring, while developing your leadership skills
Your Profile

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or a comparable discipline

At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software design and development, preferably in the semiconductor industry and/or the field of robotics, with strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python

Professional Experience with embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), preferably Zephyr and FreeRTOS

Professional Experience with embedded system development flow and tools (Git, build system, GitLab, etc.), and experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing is a plus

Very good knowledge of MCU architecture/operation (interrupts, IPC etc.) as well as communication peripherals (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI etc.) and experience with ARM Cortex and TriCore isa plus

Very good knowledge of kinematics, sensor fusion, and control systems in the field of robotics is a plus

Experience with ROS 2, micro-ROS and simulation (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo) is a plus

Fluency in English is mandatory, and German is a plus

The stated salary comprises annual base pay and target variable compensation. The starting salary is determined using objective, gender neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, and role scope; prior compensation is not requested or considered.
