OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellite and Missions Business Unit an
FDIR System Engineer (M/F) REF.FDIR_2026
In this position, you will help define the satellite FDIR along the whole project lifecycle, including concept, detailed design, implementation, verification, and in-orbit operations.
You will interact with the Lead system engineer and all the different disciplines as OBSW, Avionics, AOCS/GNC, Propulsion, Power, Thermal etc.
The successful candidate has a deep and proven knowledge of missions, space systems, subsystems and equipment.
Tasks:
- FDIR concept, design, consolidation and fine tuning
- Contribution to system, satellite, avionic and SW architectures
- Contribution to Software specification
- Contribution to User Manuals
- Spacecraft operational constraints identification and analysis
- Contribution to verification process and campaign
- Participation in project technical and progress meetings
- Participation to system and equipment reviews
- Support to in orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning etc.)
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission and operations
- Experience in various satellite engineering domains (eg. Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC etc.)
- Excellent sense of responsibility
- Structured hands-on work-approach
- Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Customer oriented thinking-approach
- University degree (Master/PhD) or equivalent education plus relevant proven work experience in industry
- Fluent in spoken and written English
The gross annual remuneration package will be determined based on the degree of alignment between the candidate’s profile and the requirements of the role, as well as the level of professional experience acquired. The salary range is therefore as follows:
€32,000–€60,000
