Your Role at Genesys
As a Senior Account Executive, Public Sector, you will drive strategic growth across a defined portfolio of mostly public sector organizations in Italy, while developing new business within a high-potential greenfield territory. You will focus on expanding relationships, identifying digital transformation opportunities, and positioning the full Genesys Cloud platform at executive level. At Genesys, we are redefining how organizations connect with people through empathy and innovation, and this role is critical in bringing that vision to government institutions and public services across Italy. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, navigating complex procurement environments and orchestrating cross-functional teams and partners to win high-value, multi-stakeholder deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and expand a portfolio of Public Sector accounts, with a strong focus on developing greenfield opportunities across Italy
Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned with public sector priorities, including national and regional digital transformation initiatives
Drive adoption of cloud, AI, and digital engagement solutions that improve citizen services, accessibility, and operational efficiency
Navigate and influence public procurement processes including tenders, CONSIP framework agreements
Engage senior government officials and executive stakeholders to shape transformation roadmaps and position long-term value
Lead complex, high-value sales cycles within regulated environments involving multiple stakeholders and compliance requirements
Build and scale partnerships with system integrators and technology partners to accelerate territory development and market penetration
Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and secure large-scale transformation deals
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, including at least 3+ years in SaaS or cloud-based solutions
Demonstrated experience selling into Italian Public Sector organizations, 4+ years, including ministries, regional bodies, leading government agencies and national infrastructure organizations
Strong understanding of public procurement processes in Italy, including tenders, CONSIP agreements, and framework contracts
Proven success developing greenfield opportunities within the Public Sector, with a strong interest in managing a territory with a high proportion of greenfield accounts, not only large existing customers
Experience collaborating with system integrators and partners to develop new business in complex environments
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence C-level and senior public sector stakeholders
Fluent in Italian and English
Willingness to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within multinational organizations
Knowledge of AI-driven customer experience platforms and cloud transformation strategies
Strong negotiation and strategic account planning capabilities

Compensation:
This role has a market-aligned compensation package with the anticipated On-Target-Earnings range listed below. Actual earnings will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is eligible for commission bonus opportunities.
