Job Summary**
CROWN Packaging Manufacturing Italy S.r.l. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cans Front End Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery in our can manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient production and the high-quality output of our packaging products.
Job Responsibilities**
- Perform preventative maintenance on can front end machinery, including body makers, trimmers, flangers, and reformers.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues affecting production lines.
- Execute emergency repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential problems and implement proactive solutions.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate new or modified equipment components.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new technologies.
- Suggest improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment functionality.
Job Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably with can-making or similar high-speed production machinery.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency call-outs as required.
- A relevant technical diploma or certification is highly desirable.
