The ideal candidate has excellent destination knowledge, strong written and spoken English, a refined understanding of high-end travel, and the ability to design, quote and book seamless itineraries for an international luxury clientele.
Our clients are mainly English-speaking travelers from North America, Australia and other key long-haul markets, often booking through luxury travel advisors, partner agencies and international DMCs.
Principal Responsibilities
The Travel Designer & Booking Specialist will be responsible for the creation and management of bespoke travel proposals, with a strong focus on Campania and, when required, other Southern Italian destinations covered by Southern Visions.
The role will include:
- Designing tailor-made itineraries for luxury, experiential travel in Campania and Southern Italy;
- Creating travel proposals involving accommodation, private experiences, transfers, guides, restaurants, boats, special access arrangements and other destination services;
- Using the company’s management software to build itineraries and organize trip content;
- Preparing Excel pricing for individual trips, including application of margins, exchange rates and agency commissions;
- Managing detailed, professional and efficient correspondence by email and phone with travel agents, direct clients and partner DMCs;
- Proactively following up on dormant enquiries through the company CRM;
- Liaising with hotels, local suppliers and internal teams to check availability, feasibility and pricing;
- Supporting the development of Campania as a strategic destination within the Southern Visions portfolio.
The role will also include direct responsibility for the booking and confirmation of the services included in the itineraries.
The Booking Specialist side of the role will include:
- Booking and confirming hotels, guides, transfers, experiences, restaurants, boats and any other services included in confirmed itineraries;
- Liaising with suppliers to request availability, options, rates, cancellation policies and payment terms;
- Managing supplier confirmations and keeping all booking information accurate and up to date in the company systems;
- Coordinating booking deadlines, option dates, deposits, balances and cancellation terms in collaboration with the Admin Department;
- Ensuring that all confirmed services match the itinerary sold to the client and the expectations communicated to the agent;
- Flagging discrepancies, missing information, logistical issues or supplier risks in a timely and proactive way;
- Updating the Operations team with all relevant confirmed details needed for the smooth execution of the trip;
- Supporting the preparation of final travel documents, service confirmations and client-facing materials;
- Maintaining clear, professional and timely communication with suppliers before and after confirmation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Supporting the management of client feedback after travel;
- Contributing to the creation of new experiences and product development in Campania;
- Identifying new hotels, guides, restaurants, local experts and experience providers suitable for a high-end international clientele;
- Supporting supplier relationship management and quality control;
- Participating, when required, in destination inspections, site visits and product research.
