Job Purpose
The Fluid Power Innovation Engineer defines new technologies (components and systems) and develops them until their proof of concept via prototypes testing. The focus is on hydraulic and electrohydraulic technologies for agricultural machines, both for driveline as well as implement and self-propelled machine working functions. The aim is improving machine efficiency, productivity, automation, reliability and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the identification and development of innovative Fluid Power concepts and system architectures for agricultural applications.
Support technology scouting, benchmarking and feasibility studies.
Perform numerical simulation or coordinate with other teams to test concepts before physical proto is available to support engineering and business decisions.
Contribute to prototype preparation, bench testing, vehicle testing and correlation between simulation and experimental results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Controls, Vehicle Performance, Electrification, Product Engineering, Software and Validation.
Collaborate with universities and research centers coordinating students and researchers for fundamental research activities.
Prepare clear technical documentation, value propositions, and engineering recommendations.
Experience Required
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Energy Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related technical disciplines.
Experience
Engineering experience on agricultural equipment 3 to 5 years
Engineering experience, academic project work, internship, thesis or laboratory experience related to hydraulics, simulation, controls, vehicle systems or machinery applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Skills
Fluid Power Fundamentals
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and basic system layouts.
Understanding of hydraulic pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulic circuits, and hydromechanical power split CVT transmissions.
Interest in electrohydraulic technologies, including electronically controlled pumps, valves, steering, braking, smart sensing and diagnostics.
Simulation & Digital Engineering
Familiarity with engineering simulation or modelling environments such as MATLAB / Simulink, Simcenter Amesim.
Ability to build and use simulation models, run analyses, interpret results and compare virtual predictions with laboratory or vehicle test data.
Interest in simulation-driven design, model-based development and digital validation methods.
Controls, Data & Testing
Basic knowledge of sensors, control systems, CAN communication and data acquisition.
Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, Excel or similar tools for engineering data analysis is considered an advantage.
Practical attitude toward testing, troubleshooting, data interpretation and continuous improvement.

Analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
Clear communication and ability to summarize technical findings for different audiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile
A hands-on engineer with a solid technical foundation and interest in Fluid Power, simulation and future vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate can support modelling, analysis, testing and concept evaluation activities while growing technical expertise in hydraulic and electrohydraulic systems for next-generation agricultural machinery.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is EUR €39,000.00 - €59,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
