WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
You will be part of the Converse Global Women’s team, collaborating closely with design, product management, development, and sourcing partners. This role connects across functions and geographies, working with internal teammates and external vendors to bring innovative material concepts to life while delivering high-quality, consumer-focused products.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for a Senior Materials Developer who blends creativity with technical expertise and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. You bring a deep understanding of footwear construction and materials, combined with strong project management skills to guide ideas from concept to production. You’re a proactive problem solver who contributes confidently in cross-functional discussions and drives innovation through materials, textiles, trims, and graphics.
You communicate clearly, influence with credibility, and embrace diverse perspectives. You stay curious about trends and technologies and continuously seek opportunities to elevate product quality, sustainability, and performance.
Proven experience in footwear development from concept through production
Strong knowledge of materials, construction, costing, and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret design intent and translate it into scalable solutions
Skilled in managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with CAD pattern design tools
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
You will lead the development of innovative materials for the Chuck Global Women’s product line, guiding styles through the creation process and ensuring on-time delivery with a strong focus on quality, performance, and consumer impact.
Manage material development from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with timelines and specifications
Partner with cross-functional teams to create and refine prototypes and samples
Drive scalable material solutions that balance performance, sustainability, cost, and trend
Review samples and advise on improvements to meet product and consumer needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster innovation and quality-first thinking
Develop and share material best practices and educational tools across teams
Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and consumer insights
The annual base salary for this position generally ranges from €48.200,00 to €72.300,000. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
