Job Description
Renesas is seeking a talented Senior Test Engineer to support test development activities for new products within the Performance Computing Power (PCP) business unit in Catania, Italy.
This role is an experienced individual contributor position requiring solid hands-on expertise in ATE test development, product validation, and debugging. The candidate will contribute to the development of reliable and cost-effective test solutions, working closely with more senior engineers while progressively increasing autonomy on complex tasks.
You will support innovative power management products, including multiphase controllers, smart power stages, and 48v system power regulators.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ATE test programs and hardware for analog, mixed-signal, and power management products

Execute test plan implementation, ensuring required test coverage and quality targets

Support product bring-up, characterization, and validation activities

Perform debug and failure analysis on ATE systems and bench setups

Analyze test data to identify issues and improve yield and test stability

Work closely with Design and Product Engineering teams to resolve technical problems

Support production ramp and sustaining engineering activities

Contribute to test time and cost optimization efforts

Follow established DFT methodologies and test standards
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (Master’s is a plus)

3–6+ years of experience in test engineering or related field

Experience with ATE platforms (Advantest, Teradyne, SPEA or similar)

Basic understanding of DFT concepts and production test flows

Experience in debugging analog and mixed-signal circuits

Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer)

Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or similar

Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods

Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is €37,000–€49,000. Please note that the final offer will depend on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and the candidate’s skill set. This role is also eligible for a bonus.
