Join us in a pivotal role as the Head of Engineering for our Grid Technologies Substations business in Italy! You will lead a talented engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of substation projects while navigating through an exciting organizational change. Imagine mentoring and developing your team, overseeing the entire lifecycle of engineering projects, and managing financial and risk aspects to guarantee project success. How You’ll Make an ImpacT
- Lead, mentor, and develop the project engineering team, setting clear goals and performance objectives to achieve outstanding operational results.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of substation engineering projects, ensuring design, implementation, testing, and commissioning are executed flawlessly.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions to resolve operational challenges and minimize delays.
- Develop and manage project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring all engineering activities are cost-effective and aligned with company standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, preparing regular reports on project status, budget adherence, and team performance for senior management.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- You hold a Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent in Italy (Iscrizione all’Albo degli Ingegneri).
- Significant experience in project engineering, preferably within the energy transmission or substation industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of engineering professionals, demonstrating strong influencing and collaboration skills.
- You bring technical and financial acumen, with expertise in project management, planning, implementation, and risk management.
- Fluent English for technical purposes, both spoken and written. Fluency in Italian is also mandatory.

The total compensation package for this position, including both fixed and variable components, ranges between € 65.000 – € 85.000 gross per year.
Salary ranges for this role are provided in accordance with applicable local legislation. The stated range is based on the Italian labour market.
Where a role may be performed in multiple locations in Italy or abroad, compensation will vary depending on factors such as market conditions, including the local cost of living, as well as experience and qualifications. In such cases, the specific salary range for the location of interest will be communicated in the early stages of the recruitment process and, in any case, before any potential offer of employment is made.
