About The Role
FTI Consulting is building a new energy advisory team in Italy, and we are looking for highly motivated candidates to join us at the start of an ambitious growth journey. As a Consultant in our energy team you will work alongside experts from FTI Consulting and Compass Lexecon, supporting leading energy clients, investors and law firms across both market & transaction advisory and disputes & expert advisory engagements.
What You’ll Do
Work as part of a team across a wide range of energy, regulatory and sustainability engagements, spanning market and transaction advisory as well as disputes and expert advisory.
Gather, interpret, and use techno-economic data to develop evidence-based recommendations.
Conduct research and prepare client reports, expert reports and supporting analyses.
Carry out quantitative analyses on energy markets using FTI Consulting's modelling tools and proprietary analytical platforms.
Support the preparation of analyses used in arbitration, litigation and regulatory disputes - including market, pricing, valuation and damages assessments - working alongside senior experts and leading law firms.
Participate in client meetings and present the analysis to a wide range of audiences.
Contribute to FTI Consulting thought leadership and to the growth of the firm's energy practice in Italy.
Support senior colleagues in pitch and proposal preparation.

What You Will Need to Succeed
You are highly motivated and passionate about the energy transition and sustainability.
You are detail-oriented and have an analytical mind and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and effective way.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An interest in the interface between energy markets, regulation and contractual or dispute-related matters is a plus.
You will be operating in a commercial environment against budgets and deadlines, so you will need to be a motivated self-starter, who is pro-active and has a business-oriented mind-set.
Virtually all the work we do requires teamwork, within projects, offices and internationally. If you are empathetic and enjoy working effectively with others, you will fit in well.
Basic Qualifications
You are educated to MSc level in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Economics.
You have up to 2 years of experience, preferably in energy consulting or industry.
You have proficient knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) and statistical/computational software (e.g. R, Stata, Matlab, Octave,…).
You are fluent in both Italian and English language.

Compensation
Minimum Pay: €36,000.00
Maximum Pay: €47,000.00
Compensation Disclosure: The candidate will be assigned to the category of the white-collars (impiegati) and with application of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Employees of the Commercial Sector (Confcommercio), with all relevant economic provisions. Compensation range reflects potential gross base salary for the posted role. The actual salary is determined with reference to the relevant market sector, taking into account the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
