Job Purpose
The Fluid Power Component Engineer will develop, validate, and support hydraulic components used across Agriculture and Construction equipment platforms. Working closely with vehicle engineering and suppliers, the engineer will be responsible for component design, technical leadership, validation, and product improvement activities throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include defining component requirements, creating and releasing engineering documentation, supporting component and vehicle validation, and driving resolution of technical issues. The engineer will collaborate with global cross functional teams and suppliers to deliver reliable, high quality hydraulic solutions for new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities
Work with suppliers to develop components for mobile applications across several machine platforms.
Work with suppliers on resourcing projects, meeting program requirements and mitigating risk.
Interface with worldwide cross functional teams to develop new components and resolve hydraulic challenges.
Develop hydraulic components for mobile applications, including 3D-modeling, creation of 2D-drawings, and release of documentation into data-management system.
Develops and owns best practices and engineering specifications for hydraulic components.
Ensure designs, suppliers, and manufacturing meet customer requirements, quality, cost, standards, and specifications.
Experience Required
Experience with engineering simulation and virtual validation tools used to predict component and system performance.
Experience with NVH analysis, simulation, or testing; including the evaluation of noise and vibration characteristics and development of solutions to improve system performance.
Knowledge of simulation methods such as fluid dynamics, structural analysis, vibration analysis, or other engineering modeling techniques.
Experience interpreting simulation results and applying findings to improve component design, durability, efficiency, validation plans, or product performance.
Experience developing, evaluating, or validating fluids used in mobile equipment applications; including hydraulic oils, lubricants, coolants, fuels, or other functional fluids.
Knowledge of fluid performance requirements, compatibility, durability, contamination control, and interactions between fluids, components, and systems.
Experience supporting fluid qualification, laboratory testing, field validation, root cause investigations, or implementation of new fluid technologies.
Familiarity with regulatory, environmental, or industry specification changes affecting fluid selection, approval, validation, and usage.
Project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2-3 years of experience in component design.
Understanding of hydraulic components and systems for mobile applications.
Understanding of hydraulic component manufacturing processes.
Understanding of component validation methods and testing.
Understanding of hydraulic component design calculations and failure modes.
Experience with valves, and/or pumps/motors is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams.
Ability to work effectively with global cross functional teams.
Strong communication skills, including presentation, written, and verbal communication.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is EUR 39.000 - 52.000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
