Responsibilities
As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. TikTok Shop is an innovative marketplace fully integrated into TikTok. It brings together online sellers, buyers and creators - all within TikTok to build a one-stop, seamless shopping experience and bringing more commerce solutions that further enable our community to discover and engage with what they love.
The Special Projects and PMO team takes a strategic approach to driving impact cross-functionally across TikTok. They work with multiple business units and senior stakeholders—including Category, Partnerships, Strategy, Governance & Experience, and Data Science—to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
We are seeking a highly motivated, data-driven Intern to support this team by providing the rigorous quantitative analysis and insights needed to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced environment.
You will be the backbone of data support for our strategic initiatives. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively to extract, analyze, and visualize data, transforming raw numbers into actionable insights. You will dive deep into datasets to help grow our platform.
Responsibilities
- Analysis & Modeling: Support business leaders by conducting data analysis to help disassemble goals and evaluate the performance of strategic initiatives.
- Strategy Support: Gather, clean, and analyze market and merchant data to support the formulation of go-to-market, merchant growth, and merchandise strategies.
- Dashboarding & Insights: Collaborate with teams across TikTok Shop to consolidate data and track progress toward collective business goals. Build, maintain, and monitor operational dashboards and indices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent in Italian and English to be able to work with internal stakeholders.
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Finance
- Ability to structure data insights into clear, concise charts and bullet points for structured proposals.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple data requests in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in discovery ecommerce is a plus
- Quick learner, proactive and resilient. Ability to cope well under pressure and thrive in ambiguous environments
