Are you a driven, ambitious student or recent graduate, ready to take the next step in your real estate career? We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst Intern to join us at our regional office in Milan. You’ll be part of a young, dynamic team managing our first-rate property portfolio as we build and consolidate Mileway’s position as the market leader in last mile real estate.
As an Intern, you will support the Asset Management team with day-to-day workstreams to enhance portfolio value and assist the team on asset transaction activities. You’ll work alongside our local team to drive the management of our premium asset portfolio, while making great connections and building Mileway’s local and national relationships.
Working at Mileway
Mileway is Europe’s leading owner and manager of last mile logistics real estate, operating across more than 11 countries with a team of over 550 professionals in more than twenty offices. We provide high-quality urban logistics space that enables businesses to store, distribute and deliver goods closer to their customers.
Our portfolio focuses on strategically located warehouses and distribution assets that support the growing demand for efficient, city-focused supply chains. With a cloud-based IT infrastructure and strong local market expertise, Mileway combines pan-European scale with on-the-ground knowledge.
We are an international and collaborative organisation, bringing together colleagues from over 50 nationalities. Our culture is pragmatic, fast-moving and team-oriented, with a strong focus on ownership and delivery.
At Mileway, we foster a continuous learning environment through our in-house learning and development programmes, supporting both professional and personal development. You’ll be based at our Milan office. While we embrace a flexible approach to work, our polocy requires working from the office three days a week.
What you’ll do
- Provide analytical support to the Country Director and the Italian Asset Management team on key asset and portfolio metrics (e.g. occupancy, NOI, capex), helping to identify value creation opportunities within the portfolio and to successfully deliver on strategic objectives.
- Support the team in the early-stage phase of disposal transactions (preparation of data tapes, review ad-hoc materials for potential investors, coordination with internal and external stakeholders).
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Management and FP&A teams based in Amsterdam by providing country-specific data for regular and ad-hoc reporting.
- Contribute to drafting Investment Committee papers on key strategic recommendations (leasing, capex investments, disposals) presented to Mileway's C-suite and investors.
- Learn to use portfolio management and performance tracking systems (Yardi, Power BI, Excel, credit scoring systems, etc.), helping us optimize our systems and processes.
What you’ll bring
- You have, or are close to completing, a solid academic background (e.g. a Bachelor's or Master's degree) in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, economics or real estate.
- You have less than one year of professional experience in real estate or asset management, or at a leading consultancy or auditing firm.
- You have strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work confidently with large, complex data sets in Excel and to process new data quickly and accurately.
- You have a business mindset and excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand numbers and explain them clearly to others.
- You work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines motivate you, and you work quickly and efficiently.
- You're a solid team player who truly believes in the value of diverse and inclusive teams. You have a collaborative style that enables you to work with a range of different people and teams.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills. You can resolve issues and have the tenacity to achieve your goals.
- You are looking to apply the knowledge gained through your studies and eager to learn and embrace new challenges.
- You must be fluent in Italian and have an excellent command of English, as you will be interacting frequently on an international level.
If this sounds like the perfect challenge for you, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today by sending us your CV.
