About the Role:
Milan is one of Italy's leading centres for technology, design and digital entertainment, and at Zed Gaming 2K3 SRL, we combine those strengths to create engaging and polished gaming experiences.
We are looking for a mid level Game Developer who will contribute to the development, testing and improvement of our current and upcoming game projects. You will work closely with game designers, artists, quality assurance testers and other developers to turn creative concepts into reliable and enjoyable gameplay.
This position is ideal for a developer who already has professional game development experience and is ready to take greater responsibility for technical implementation without moving into a management role.

Competitive Compensation:
The salary range for this position is EUR 26,000 to EUR 35,000 gross per year, depending on experience, technical ability and project background.
Key Responsibilities:
Gameplay Development:
Develop and maintain gameplay systems, player controls, user interfaces and interactive game features.
Technical Implementation:
Translate game design documents and creative requirements into efficient and maintainable code.
Performance Optimisation:
Identify and resolve performance issues affecting frame rate, loading times, memory use and overall game stability.
Testing and Debugging:
Investigate technical problems, fix software defects and support quality assurance testing throughout the development cycle.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Work with game designers, artists, animators and quality assurance testers to ensure that technical solutions support the intended player experience.
Code Quality:
Write clear, organised and reusable code that follows the company's development standards and version control processes.
Project Delivery:
Complete assigned development tasks within agreed deadlines and communicate progress, risks and technical limitations to the project team.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 3 years of professional experience in game development, software development or a closely related technical role.
Technical Skills:
Practical experience with Unity or Unreal Engine and strong programming knowledge in C Sharp, C Plus Plus or another relevant language.
Game Development Knowledge:
A good understanding of gameplay systems, physics, animation, user interfaces, object oriented programming and performance optimisation.
Portfolio:
Examples of completed games, prototypes, technical projects or published applications that demonstrate your development skills.
Problem Solving:
The ability to analyse technical issues, propose practical solutions and work independently on assigned development tasks.
Teamwork:
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and creative team members.
Language Skills:
Professional Italian communication skills are preferred. English proficiency at B2 level or above is required for technical documentation and international collaboration.
