As a Buyer, you are the person who makes that happen — turning needs into the right suppliers, the right terms, and the right outcomes. The role As a Buyer at Yokogawa Italia, you own the full purchasing cycle for goods and services — from identifying the need and selecting the supplier through to payment and record-keeping — always within established procedures. You manage contracts, scout and onboard new suppliers, and support the sales team with cost-aware sourcing decisions grounded in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles. You work closely with internal stakeholders and international suppliers, and you bring a sustainability mindset to procurement — integrating environmental, social and economic considerations into long-term, value-driven supply chain decisions.
This is a role for someone early in their procurement career who wants to build real depth in a global, multicultural industrial company.
What you’ll do
Buying & contract management • Perform buying tasks for goods and services — from need identification and supplier selection through to payment and record-keeping — ensuring compliance with established procedures • Manage contracts end to end, ensuring all contract conditions are met by the supplier Sourcing & supplier onboarding • Scout potential new suppliers and take part in the onboarding process and supplier audits • Build and maintain supplier relationships and quality standards in line with agreed expectations Budgeting & cost optimisation • Support sales in aligning quotations and selecting suitable suppliers according to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles • Estimate costs of goods and services to evaluate the accuracy of supplier quotations Compliance & sustainable procurement • Carry out every task in line with the organisation’s policies, procedures, regulatory codes and company codes of conduct • Apply procurement practices that integrate environmental, social and economic considerations — supporting ethical, sustainable, long-term value-driven decisions Personal capability building • Develop and maintain strong procedural and technical skills through assessment, development planning, and formal and informal training and coaching
What you bring
You have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar Buyer or procurement role, ideally for companies operating in a comparable market. You hold a high school diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree, and you are ready to grow your expertise in a structured, international environment. Skills & technical know-how • Contract Management — administer, monitor and manage the provision of goods and services in line with an agreed contract • Negotiation — engage suppliers and stakeholders to optimise price, delivery, and terms & conditions • Costing & Budgeting — estimate costs of goods and services to assess the accuracy of supplier quotations • Global Procurement Management — comfortable working with international and global suppliers • Procurement software — end-to-end procurement tools covering sourcing, vendor evaluation, purchase order creation (SAP) and supplier management, plus standard office software • Data Collection & Analysis — gather and analyse data to support sound supplier selection • Supplier Management — manage contractual terms, relationships and quality standards with suppliers and vendors How you work • Collaborates — you build partnerships and work as a true team player, contributing actively to shared objectives • Manages Complexity — you make sense of complex, high-volume and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems effectively • Tech Savvy — you anticipate and adopt new digital and technology tools, quickly mastering the advances the organisation introduces Why join
