The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of Corporate Governance, IFRS Reporting, Finance Compliance and Group Audit Coordination across an international technology group.
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset. You will play a key role in strengthening the Group's governance and financial reporting framework while supporting our continued international growth.
This is a senior individual contributor position. Although the role currently has no direct reports, it carries significant visibility, autonomy and responsibility across the organisation. You will work closely with executive leadership, external auditors, tax advisers and accounting providers, becoming the reference point for governance and IFRS matters throughout the Group.
Your Responsibilities
Group IFRS Reporting & Audit
- Coordinate the annual IFRS consolidation process.
- Manage Group reporting packages, intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
- Coordinate the annual external audit and statutory audit activities.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and accounting policy documentation.
- Maintain and develop Group accounting policies in accordance with IFRS.
- Liaise with external accounting advisers on complex technical matters
Corporate Governance
- Coordinate Advisory Board and Shareholder meetings.
- Coordinate agendas, Board packs, minutes and written resolutions.
- Maintain governance calendars and approval trackers.
- Ensure corporate records, powers of attorney and governance documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Support governance aspects of financing transactions and strategic corporate projects.
International Entity Accounting
Act as the internal finance owner for:
- Tau ACT GmbH (Germany)
- TAU Wire USA Corp. (United States)
Working alongside local accounting and tax advisers, you will:
- Coordinate monthly accounting activities.
- Review trial balances and statutory financial statements.
- Ensure timely statutory and tax filings.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Resolve accounting issues and maintain complete audit trails.
Finance Compliance & Internal Controls
- Maintain the Group finance compliance calendar.
- Monitor statutory deadlines and recurring obligations.
- Develop practical internal controls and governance documentation.
- Support finance compliance, audits and regulatory requests.
- Continuously improve finance policies, procedures and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in External Audit, Group Accounting, Controllership, IFRS Reporting or Finance Governance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Group Consolidation and financial reporting.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and audit processes.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities in an international environment.
- Experience coordinating external auditors, accountants and tax advisers.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Excel and ERP proficiency.
- Fluent English and Italian, both written and spoken.
- High integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Big Four background.
- Experience within multinational industrial or technology companies.
- Knowledge of German HGB and/or the US accounting environment.
- SAP or comparable ERP experience.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, Revisore, Commercialista or equivalent).
- Experience supporting financing transactions, Board reporting or investor reporting.
