About the Role:
Milan is one of Italy’s leading centres for business, retail and consumer innovation, and at Scoop Dairy Foods Italia SRL, we use that energy to improve how modern food businesses operate. We develop and distribute premium dairy products, frozen desserts and chilled consumer goods for retail, hospitality and food service partners.
We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst who can translate commercial goals, operational challenges and data into clear, practical business solutions. You will work across sales, supply chain, finance, production and technology teams to identify opportunities, define requirements and support major improvement projects.
This is not a reporting-only position. You will play an active role in shaping business processes, supporting strategic decisions and ensuring that new systems and operational changes deliver measurable results.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our Milan office provides a collaborative setting where commercial, operational and product teams work closely together. You will be part of a growing food business that values practical ideas, clear communication and continuous improvement.
Business Impact:
Your recommendations will directly influence how we forecast demand, manage inventory, serve customers and improve profitability. You will have visibility across multiple departments and regular access to senior decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Exposure:
You will work with stakeholders from finance, operations, sales, procurement, logistics and information technology. This provides broad commercial experience and the opportunity to understand the full business lifecycle.
Professional Growth:
You will have access to relevant training, industry events and professional development opportunities in business analysis, process improvement, data analytics and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements:
Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to identify business needs, operational challenges and system requirements. Translate complex information into clear functional requirements and practical recommendations.
Process Improvement:
Review current processes across sales, supply chain, finance, production and customer operations. Identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for automation or standardisation.
Data Analysis:
Analyse commercial, operational and financial data to identify trends, performance gaps and growth opportunities. Develop clear reports, dashboards and business cases to support decision-making.
Project Leadership:
Support business transformation, systems implementation and process improvement projects from discovery through delivery. Coordinate requirements, testing, documentation and stakeholder communication.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong working relationships with department managers, technical teams and external partners. Present findings and recommendations in a clear, commercially focused manner.
Systems Implementation:
Work with internal technology teams and software providers to define system requirements, support configuration and coordinate user acceptance testing.
Team Guidance:
Provide direction and mentoring to Business Analysts and project team members. Promote consistent documentation, analysis and problem-solving standards across the organisation.
Performance Monitoring:
Define business metrics and key performance indicators for new projects and operational improvements. Monitor results and recommend further actions where required.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 6 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, systems implementation or business transformation, including experience leading complex projects or mentoring other analysts.
Industry Background:
Experience within food manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, logistics, supply chain or another fast-moving commercial environment is highly desirable.

You can communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are comfortable leading workshops, challenging assumptions and explaining complex topics clearly.
Language Skills:
Professional fluency in Italian is required. Strong English communication skills are necessary for documentation, technology partners and international business activities.
