Job Introduction

Serco is a leading Space Services Provider with thousands of skilled resources that has supported over 50 space missions on behalf of more than 10 Space or Government agencies around the globe, including the ESA and NASASerco Italia S.p.A. is one of the top 50 World Space Manufacturing and Service companies with a long history of providing Earth Observation operations, maintenance and front-end services to the European Space Agency. The company also offers vast experience to a huge number of IT and space markets including central governments, defense organizations, the aerospace industry and commercial companies.

On behalf of our team in Italy, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Bid Coordinator to support our activities and work on a full time, permanent position from our office in Rome, with a hybrid working style.

Responsibilities

Support the governance process for individual bids, working in partnership with Bid Managers and wider bid teams.
Support individual bid management and governance processes as required, including: support with booking and managing meetings – e.g. governance sign-offs, challenge/review sessions etc.; contributing to key stages of the bid process – e.g. production of bid kick-off packs, managing document reviews etc.; helping to manage bid programmes and timelines.
Help to manage individual bid resourcing and budgets in partnership with Bid Managers.
Manage the SharePoint site for each specific bid.
Manage bid portals – e.g. clarification questions; bid submission uploads etc.
Contribute to ad hoc bid writing, management and production tasks as required.
Develop/maintain expertise in bid processes, through liaison with the central team, Sector and Functional colleagues.
Provide general support to the team as required (e.g. organisation of events, travel etc.).

Requirements

Experience of effective working of procurement processes, rules and portals
Experience in preparing Request for Proposals (RfP)
Experience of working on live bids
Accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills
Excellent Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Fluent English, French and Italian– any other European language is a strong asset
Team player
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a range of people
