Vishay Italy is currently seeking applicants for Purchasing Manager Italy. In this position, you will be responsible for procurement activities in Italy, managing supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and supply continuity. You will support business growth through close collaboration with suppliers and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers potential for professional growth and the opportunity to gain broader responsibility in semiconductor procurement at a global level.
Job Location:
Vishay Semiconductor Italiana spa is site focused on the design, development and production of power diodes and power modules. There are around 300 employees currently work in Borgaro Torinese Italy. This number is constantly growing due to our expansion plans.
What you will be doing:

To manage supplier relationships and ensure effective collaboration with assigned suppliers.

To manage procurement activities for parts, materials, and services, ensuring timely availability in line with production and delivery requirements.

To manage inventory levels and material planning for local warehouses, optimizing stock availability and working capital.

To understand and identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain, taking proactive actions to ensure continuity of supply.

To manage supplier performance, including delivery tracking, claim management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To negotiate local contracts, delivery conditions, and commercial agreements within the assigned authorization limits.

Willingness to travel.
What you will bring along:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing industries.

Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and inventory management.

Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar) and procurement planning tools.

Good attitude in dealing with issues and requests from Top Managers.

Good motivation to master new major challenges.

Good coaching and mentoring skills.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Fluency in English.
