The Senior Project Technical Civil Engineer, joining in our Engineering Department, will embody these values by promoting collaboration across cross-functional teams demonstrating integrity and accountability in project execution, and driving innovation.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead and coordinate civil activities (both concrete and steel construction),for Grid Integration projects (AIS/GIS HV Substations and Power Plants) , ensuring effective collaboration with technical tendering and project engineering teams
Support the development of project deliverables during the tender phase by coordinating and preparing documentation, creating engineering estimates, and performing risk assessments prior to submission
Support the project team with claims related to changes in the civil scope, assessing cost, time impacts, and risks while maintaining customer satisfaction through continuous dialogue and excellent service.
Collaborate with engineering colleagues to share best practices, optimize process and develop leadership, coordination, and communication skills, upholding core values of safety, integrity, and quality in all phases of bid and project processing
Engage customers as a trusted technical partner: clarify requirements, present solutions, and capture lessons learned for future projects.
Prepare and review technical specifications and validate equipment.
Examination of static and / or dynamic verifications in steel and solid construction
Examination of execution plans for concrete reinforcement and steel construction
Creation and evaluation of specifications
Participation in drawing up contracts with subcontractors in cooperation with purchasing
Ensure compliance with CEI/IEC, Euro Code standards, Italian building code NTC2018, Italian grid codes, and Hitachi Energy QHSE requirements; drive design quality and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with primary engineers to ensure complete interfaces, proper constructability
Decision Making in Civil discipline
Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
5 - 8 years of relevant professional experience in the field of civil design and management or a comparable function, ideally in international project business
Knowledge of technical regulations such as Eurocode etc.
Knowledge of CAD and BIM tools
Knowledge of building law is an advantage
Ability to learn and communicate as well as strong teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace safety guide-lines, combined with a high level of self-motivation and curiosity for new technologies.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Italian (mandatory). Any additional languages will be appreciated
Licensed engineer subscribed to a Professional Association of Engineers is a plus
