We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and analytical Supply Chain & Demand Planning Trainee to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing demand planning and supply chain operations for both the Italian and Portuguese markets, working under the direct supervision and guidance of the Supply Chain Manager. The position offers a unique opportunity to learn about and contribute to supply chain operations processes, actively participate in the monthly forecast cycle and forecasting process supporting the business growth, assist in optimizing stock management and interface both with the local and international S&OP team based in Milan, Lisbon and Paris.
Develop and Consolidate Efficient Demand Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to establish and maintain an effective demand planning process for Italy and Portugal. Regularly partner with local sales teams to gather customer insights and sales forecasts. Identify deviations from the sales plan, collaborate on realignments, and closely monitor daily changes in the promotional calendar to adjust forecasts accordingly.
Demand Planning Review: Prepare, lead, and participate in the Monthly Forecast Cycle to develop regional forecasts aligned with business objectives. Proactively identify risks and opportunities, quantify their potential business impact, and provide actionable feedback to the manager and stakeholders.
Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management: Design and implement concrete action plans to reduce slow-moving inventory in collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Effectively manage the disposal process of obsolete materials, ensuring full transparency and compliance with Management's guidelines and approvals.
Data Collection and Analysis: Own the collection and analysis of sales and forecasting data to drive data-backed decision-making and continuously improve overall forecast accuracy.
Performance Reporting and Improvement: Generate and analyze supply chain performance reports (KPIs), proposing and implementing continuous improvement recommendations to optimize local processes.
Manage copacking activities: Oversee inbound and outbound stock flows with third-party logistics (3PL) co-packers, ensuring seamless execution to support sales and marketing initiatives for the assigned markets.
Key Challenges
Drive and achieve the forecast accuracy and bias targets set by the division for both the Italian and Portuguese markets.
Independently measure, track, and report on key supply chain KPIs, actively driving continuous improvement and delivering actionable insights to management.
Act as the daily operational point of contact for international stakeholders (including the Paris S&OP team and regional commercial functions), ensuring smooth communication, alignment, and collaborative problem-solving across different countries.
Degree or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related fields
At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain & Demand Planning roles
Fluent in Italian and English
Microsoft Office and Google Suite proficiency
Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, with strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
Proficient in using standard software packages, and have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed.
Excellence communication skills and strong team-working ability
Curious, proactive, and possessing critical thinking skills
Expected Gross Annual Salary Range: €27,000 – €32,000 gross per year
This position is offered under a 1 year temporary employment contract.
The role is governed by the applicable Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CCNL”) Commerce, including the relevant job classification and economic provisions applicable to the position.
The initial compensation within the above range will be determined on the basis of objective, transparent and gender-neutral criteria, including professional experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, scope of responsibilities, role requirements, location, applicable CCNL classification and internal company policies.
Subject to role eligibility and applicable company policy, employees may also be eligible to participate in variable compensation programs tied to company and/or individual performance, including an annual target bonus opportunity.
