The Branch Finance & Tax Manager plays a key role in the financial governance of the Branch, with full responsibility for accounting processes, tax compliance, and statutory obligations.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with end-to-end ownership, acting as the main financial counterpart for Finance HQ, the Group Tax Department, and local operational teams.
This position offers strong exposure to international accounting and VAT matters within a truly multinational environment, with regular interaction with colleagues and external advisors across different jurisdictions.
In addition, the role provides direct visibility and interaction with the Tax & Accounting Director, with the opportunity to be involved in strategic and cross-border projects, contributing to the evolution of the Group’s finance and tax framework.
Job responsibilities:
Accounting Management
Ensure end-to-end supervision of general and analytical accounting activities for the Branch.
Control and record incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring correct VAT setup and compliance with multi-branch/multi-VAT structures.
Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet controls.
Support and coordinate closing activities (monthly, quarterly, yearly) in collaboration with HQ Administration.
Oversee documentation related to intra-branch and intra-EU flows (e.g., shipping documents, CMR, proof of transport).
Tax Compliance
Act as first-line owner of tax compliance, ensuring full accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and Intrastat declarations in line with local requirements.
Monitor deadlines and ensure effective internal controls.
Support internal/external audits and interact with tax authorities where needed.
Coordinate with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment on local compliance topics.
International Coordination & Projects
Maintain ongoing interaction with international colleagues and HQ functions, ensuring alignment on accounting and tax matters.
Liaise with external consultants and advisors abroad on country-specific requirements.
Support and contribute to cross-border and strategic finance/tax projects, with exposure to senior leadership.
Operational Coordination
Act as a key interface with IT and shared services (SAP environment).
Ensure effective communication between operational teams and finance functions.
Oversee payment processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal rules.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare periodic financial and tax reporting for HQ stakeholders.
Perform variance analysis and monitor KPIs.
Identify and drive process improvements and internal control enhancements.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
3–5 years of experience in accounting or tax roles, ideally within multinational environments or Big Four firms.
Solid knowledge of SAP.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good command of written and spoken English.
