The Finance Manager, Shared Service Accounting (d/f/m) plays a key role in strengthening Leica Microsystems’ accounting and reporting framework. As a Manager, the position oversees all financial activities for our legal entities in Europe especially Southern Europe and will be a people leader providing leadership to the team.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Controller & Corporate FP&A and is designed as an on-site role in Buccinasco, Milan.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure the Italian, Spain and Portugal ledgers are in compliance with all DHR and Leica finance policies and relevant local regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner
Manage and coordinate all operational accounting processes for the ledgers of Italy, Spain and Portugal including timely and accurate posting of all transactions, releasing of payments, VAT etc. and leading the respective accounting team
Manage close process for the Italian ledger, which includes reviewing trial balances, cost center expenses, approving journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing quarterly disclosure questionnaires
Perform or ensure all controls related to finance processes, including SOX controls, are being followed without exception and prepare local GAAP financial statements and reconcile local to US-GAAP reporting
Be a business partner for the local business leaders, specifically supporting them with meaningful reports and analysis in the various business areas
The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Finance role with strong focus on Tax / Finance (good knowledge of Italian GAAP and Italian tax mandatory, US GAAP is preferred)
Strong years of progressive accounting/controllership experience, preferably in a multinational company environment
Proven ability to develop, implement and improve processes with strong analytical skills
Team player, process oriented and hands-on
Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a must. Ability to speak German will be an advantage but not required.

Base salary and level of employment
This role is classified under the applicable CCNL Commercio as Quadro, which defines minimum terms, job classification, and baseline progression frameworks. The expected gross annual salary range for this role is €56 000–€65 000, determined based on objective criteria such as experience, skills, and role-related competencies.
Bonus / Incentive Pay
This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay. This is the target earnings as 10% of base annual salary, subject to objective eligibility criteria and performance conditions as set out in the applicable scheme terms and conditions.
