What you will do
As a Senior RES Expert at CESI S.p.A., your main responsibilities will include:

Techno-economic feasibility and planning studies for RES utility-scale plants, including PV, wind, BESS and hybrid configurations
-
Evaluate HV/MV connection solutions, network reinforcements, substation configurations, mitigation measures and minimum technical requirements for RES and BESS plants
-
Contribute to CAPEX/OPEX, LCOE/LCOS, sensitivities, technical risks and key bankability drivers analyses
-
Definition of technical specifications, functional requirements, tender documentation, PPA technical clauses and technical evaluation criteria
-
Participate in the preparation of offers, contributing to the construction of methodologies, staffing and effort evaluation
-
Coordinate internal and external multidisciplinary teams
-
Conduct advisory activities to clients and institutions, technical workshops and capacity building
-
Support the internal CESI team in technical supervision, standardization of methodologies and mentoring of junior profiles on RES projects
Non-mandatory qualifying requests:
-
Experience in network studies, including load flow, short circuit, dynamic stability, voltage/reactive power, power quality, harmonics, flicker, and grid code requirements

Experience in design review and job supervision
-
Knowledge of technical software (PVsyst, SolarGIS, HOMER, Python, MATLAB, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP or equivalent tools)
-
Familiarity with international technical standards and best practices for RES/BESS, including IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, European grid codes and local TSO/DSO requirements
-
Experience in technical due diligence for acquisitions, financing, lender's technical advisory, owner's engineering, EPC tender support or international procurement
-
PMP certifications or project management equivalents

What you bring
Among all your other talents, your key knowledge and experience:

Degree in Electrical, Energy Engineering or related disciplines; master's degree or equivalent qualification is preferable
-
Experience ≥ 15 years in RES projects, preferably utility-scale, with a focus on photovoltaics, wind, BESS and integration into transmission/distribution networks
-
Proven track record in feasibility studies, technical advisory, owner's/lender's engineering, or due diligence for large-scale renewable projects
-
In-depth knowledge of:
-
RES (PV/wind/BESS) technologies, preliminary layouts, manufacturability/yield assessment, technological scenarios and bankability criteria of PV/wind/BESS plants;
-
network codes, connection requirements, authorization processes, technical compliance and interface with TSO/DSO and authorities;
-
technical-economic analyses: CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE, LCOS, sensitivities, development risks, support for financial models and bankability assessments;
-
technical structuring of tenders, functional/technical specifications, tender documentation, PPA requirements and support for technical evaluation of tenders.

Experience in international contexts

Excellent knowledge of Italian and English; knowledge of French is preferred for assignments in French-speaking countries and in IFI settings

Availability for trips to national and international territory
