The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Junior HSE Specialist to join the Service Business Unit based in Lodi, Italy. In this role, you will support the development of a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of HSE performance.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Spreading of the HSE culture through the Organization and arising of awareness on relevant documentation and tools.
Collecting and reporting of HSE performance indicators
Applying HSE corporate reporting tools and instructions and development of HSE projects.
Implementing local and Corporate HSE standards and guidelines
Performing assessments on HSE topics and driving the implementation of corrective actions
Engaging safety representatives, RLS and company doctor.
Implementing the HSE management system by applying existing tools (ie contractor’s management and qualification, training, instructions and procedures updating) or by defining new ones.
Monitoring HSE training needs according to the specific skills of employees and supporting the administrative tasks following the delivery of training.
Managing the administrative tasks related to waste management
Your Background
A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
1–3 years of experience in an HSE role.
Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation processes, and audit practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards would be considered a plus.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams at different organizational levels.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Fluency in Italian and a good command of English, both written and spoken.
