Job Purpose

The Production Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day information flow that keeps manufacturing operations on schedule. They track work order status, communicate schedule changes, coordinate between departments, and handle administrative and logistics work that supports production supervisors and planners. The role bridges production floor operations and support functions, making them the operational nerve center of a manufacturing environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Daily matching the required level of production to the existing resources, finalizing the actual production schedule to assure the required shipments;
Ensure regular liaison with production, material planning and logistics team to maintain effective supply and reconcile any production /materials issues regarding production line schedules;
Analyze and escalate any significant delivery issues to manager, so the plant production plan is not interrupted. Resolve production capacity issues by prioritized scheduling;
Monitor Inventory and visit the plant warehouse and/or production floor regularly to ensure no stock outs. Use internal reports to support changes to parameters in the replenishment system, making sure the system creates orders on time and in the correct amount to cover the plant production plan through the next planned delivery.
Manage a rolling plan of inventory by matching it with effective and forecast sales; manage company tools for inventory management.
Maintaining material supply to meet dynamic customer schedules with minimal exposure to changes. Internationally sourced material and international customers significantly complicate this challenge.

Communicating schedule changes to affected departments and following up on action items from the morning meeting.
Managing material coordination, checking with the warehouse on staging status, flagging shortages to the planner, and escalating material problems.
Manage inventory roll-forward plan in relation production plans and sale forecast.

Education and Qualifications

Material Planning & Control System;
Lean Production Methods;
PDCA Cycle;
Experience in production planning preferred;
ERP (Ax Dynamics preferred) and Office 365 (advanced Excel preferred

English, fluently written and spoken (minimum required B1);
