The Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of software solutions for ARAG precision agriculture products and systems.
You will work on software applications and system-level solutions that interact with hardware, electronic components, mechanical systems, and user interfaces. Your role will be key in ensuring that software functionality is aligned with customer requirements, product objectives, performance expectations, and quality standards.

- Analyze software and system requirements, translating business, customer, and technical needs into effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, components, and system functionalities.
- Contribute to the functional integration of software with hardware, electronic, and mechanical components to ensure full product functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code using appropriate programming, scripting, and/or database languages.
- Modify and enhance existing software products to add new features, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or increase usability.
- Participate in software architecture, detailed programming, debugging, and high-level system design activities.
- Support software testing, validation, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct programming errors and technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Testing.
- Apply software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing methodologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality, development efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software design, development, testing, and release activities.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical fields.
- Experience: Previous experience in software development, systems development engineering, embedded software, application development, or similar technical roles. Experience in industrial, automotive, agricultural technology, or electro-mechanical product environments is considered a plus.
- Languages: English level B2 or higher is required; knowledge of an additional foreign language is considered a plus.
- Technical skills: Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices; experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar; familiarity with software testing, debugging, validation, and deployment processes.
- Tools and platforms: Knowledge of source control tools and software configuration management systems. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, test management systems, databases, IoT, cloud platforms, communication protocols, or embedded systems is an advantage.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, curiosity for technology, good communication and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic technical environment.
