ABB Italy has a large competence center with many years of experience in SAP technologies and solutions. ABB wants to increase the team with someone who brings new technologies and solutions knowledge.
Your Role and Responsibilities
ABB is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Analyst with a strong background in Sales and Distribution module to support projects and implementations in the countries part of the “Italian cluster” (mainly Italy and France, but also Croatia and Serbia).
You will bridges the gap between the technical environment and the business by gathering requirements and using data analytics to assess processes and outline problems, opportunities, and solutions, to support decisions for new or changed IS solutions/services.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from local stakeholders and ABB Group, translating business needs into effective SAP solutions.
Designing, optimizing, and supporting Sales & Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency, and compliance requirements.
Creating and maintaining business process documentation, Business Blueprints, and functional specifications, collaborating with technical teams on system enhancements and custom developments.
Acting as the SAP SD Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing functional expertise, supporting cross-functional integrations, and guiding stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Planning, executing, and supporting functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring the successful implementation of system changes within agreed timelines.
Supporting SAP operations through incident resolution, continuous process improvement, and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Designing and assisting development of business process working directly with the business to provide the best solutions managing deliverables as well as activities. Building strong relationship within the business.
Qualifications for the Role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience as an SAP SD Functional Analyst, including participation in a minimum of two end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
You possess strong expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), with solid knowledge of its integration with Logistics and Production modules.
You have a good understanding of Sales, Distribution, and Logistics business processes, preferably within a manufacturing environment; experience in industries similar to ABB is considered a plus.
You are familiar with query design and have basic ABAP debugging skills to support issue investigation and solution validation; experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations is an advantage.
You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
You are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs, and travelling occasionally to ABB locations.
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English language, both written and spoken.
Compensation Package
As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:
Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: €48.000,00
Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
