Milan is one of Italy's leading centres for engineering, energy and infrastructure development. At Centelec Norte Energy Systems SRL, we design reliable electrical solutions for commercial, industrial and renewable energy projects.
We are looking for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of complex electrical design projects and provide technical guidance throughout the engineering lifecycle.
You will coordinate electrical design activities, review technical documentation and work closely with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams. This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who wants to remain technically involved while taking greater responsibility for project quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Design Leadership:
Lead the preparation of electrical design packages for commercial, industrial and energy projects.
Technical Calculations:
Perform and review load calculations, cable sizing, voltage-drop analysis, short-circuit studies and equipment selection.
Design Documentation:
Prepare and approve single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, technical specifications, bills of materials and construction drawings.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate electrical requirements with mechanical, civil, structural and automation engineering teams.
Technical Review:
Review contractor drawings, supplier submissions and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Standards and Compliance:
Ensure that all designs comply with applicable Italian regulations, European standards, safety requirements and client specifications.
Team Guidance:
Provide technical support and mentoring to junior and mid-level electrical engineers and designers.
Client Communication:
Present technical solutions, design recommendations and project updates to clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
Site Support:
Assist with technical inspections, installation reviews, testing, commissioning and resolution of site-related engineering issues.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of accuracy, documentation quality and design consistency across assigned projects.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering or electrical systems design, including experience coordinating complex projects or supporting other engineers.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, protection systems, electrical equipment and industrial installations.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical design software and calculation tools. Experience with Revit MEP, ETAP, EPLAN or similar platforms is an advantage.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Good understanding of Italian and European electrical regulations, including relevant CEI and IEC standards.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to review technical work, provide constructive guidance and coordinate engineering activities across several project teams.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
Communication Skills:
Professional proficiency in Italian is required. Good working knowledge of English is preferred for technical documentation and international project coordination.
