The Supplier Quality Engineeer position is located in Arcore.
Work in a team environment with suppliers to develop standard methodologies that emphasize defect prevention and waste for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops. Handle the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers. Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Maintain the robustness of product builds following new product introductions. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project achievements and/or on completion by Senior Management.

Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier sophisticated product quality planning (APQP). This includes complete and accurate documentation and also inspection and test status requirements;

participate in multi-functional teams (with Design and Manufacturing Engineers) to define process parameters and criteria to the develop of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements;

assist in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities;

assist in new product launches and sample approvals to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards;

perform root cause analysis of the problems and resolve them by corrective actions of supplier quality issues. To do that is useful the adoption of techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing). After this, this position performs on-site supplier visits for the verification of correction actions;

deliver training of quality awareness to people within own work group;

lead and coordinate supplier issues, supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators;

support and lead process improvement activities at the supplier;

write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients;

achieve goals within budget;

stay ahead of and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact;

support technicians and trainee engineers;

develop and maintain, having a respectful approach and an efficient communication, positive relationships with internal and external collaborators to ensure efficient performance.
