To support our continued growth in Italy, we are seeking a Sales Engineer – Key Strategic Accounts , a commercially accountable and strategically driven role responsible for developing, managing, and expanding Eaton’s business with the largest national and international contractors, installers, and general contractors operating across the Italian market.
Acting as the primary commercial owner of strategic accounts, this role drives specification influence, project win, and long-term business growth across Eaton’s full portfolio of products and solutions. It combines senior-level relationship management with complex project leadership, engaging key decision makers early in their strategies to secure and expand business opportunities. Operating in a highly matrixed and international environment, the role orchestrates internal resources across functions and geographies, while fully owning account strategy, commercial performance, and pipeline development. It also provides critical market insights and fosters cross-border collaboration to maximize Eaton’s global footprint and share of wallet.
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package based on applicable skills, knowledge and experience, and aligned with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range (included base salary and Sales Insentive Plan) for this role is EUR 55.200 – EUR 80.960 gross per year.

- Qualify and develop leads, plan territory and account actions, and proactively prospect strategic opportunities
- Engage early with key decision makers, conduct discovery, and influence specifications to shape project outcomes
- Manage the full opportunity lifecycle, including bid/no-bid decisions, pipeline ownership, and quote management
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (engineering, quotation factory, back-office) and external partners to deliver compliant, competitive solutions
- Secure specifications and convert complex project opportunities while expanding business across Eaton’s portfolio and channels
- Build and maintain high-impact relationships, conduct business reviews, leverage market insights, and participate in industry networking
- Technical diploma or professional technician qualification, bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent education.
Min. 5 years of experience with solid knowledge of the project environment in Commercial & Institutional (C&I) buildings, electrical installations, or similar.
Proven connections with major installers and contractors in the area.
