About the Role:
As a Primary English Teacher, you will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where young learners develop confidence, independence, and a love of language. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons using a variety of teaching approaches to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND. You will foster a positive classroom culture built on high expectations, creativity, and strong relationships.
You will assess and monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and contribute to reports and wider school activities. Working collaboratively with colleagues and building strong partnerships with parents, you will support each child’s academic and personal development. You will also take an active role in school life, through events, trips, and ongoing professional development, while maintaining a strong commitment to safeguarding.
This role will be a full-time, fixed term contract starting on Sep 1 2026 until June 2027.
Who We Are Looking For:
You are a passionate and dedicated educator with strong subject expertise in English and a commitment to inspiring young learners. You hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, with at least two years of experience as a class teacher.
You bring excellent communication and organisational skills and are confident in managing a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You are adaptable, creative, and motivated to continuously improve your practice. You value collaboration and build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. Most importantly, you are committed to supporting student wellbeing, progress, and success within a dynamic school community.
