Job Title: Barista
Reports to: Store Manager / Café Owner

Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our team! You will be the face of our café, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring every guest feels welcome. Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and signature drinks) according to standard recipes.
- Espresso Tending: Operate commercial espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment with precision and care.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, explain menu items, and handle cash/credit transactions via POS system.
- Quality Control: Taste and inspect coffee quality; ensure drinks are consistent and aesthetically pleasing (latte art skills are a plus).
- Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless work station, wash dishes/glassware, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Inventory: Restock supplies (cups, lids, syrups, milk) and assist with receiving deliveries.
- Food Prep: Prepare light food items (pastries, toasties, or sandwiches) as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in fast-food/restaurant service is preferred but not required (we will train the right person).
- Basic math skills for handling cash.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
