The mission of the role is to support the Digital & Technology Platform Services (DTPS) team in identifying, designing, and enabling process simplification opportunities through the practical adoption of AI, automation, digital tools, and data-driven ways of working.
The Digital & Technology Platform Expert – Innovation and Simplification will act as a bridge between business users, Process Owners, Digital Platform Leads, and DTPS team. The role will work closely with business functions to understand pain points, map existing processes, identify opportunities for simplification, and propose practical ideas where AI and digital solutions can generate productivity, efficiency, and “oxygen” for people in the organization.
The position is intended for an early-career expert profile with strong curiosity and understanding of new AI technologies, digital tools, process improvement, and business transformation. The role is expected to contribute to discovery, analysis, ideation, prototyping, adoption, and continuous improvement activities under the guidance of more senior DTPS colleagues.
WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER
- Support the identification of business pain points by engaging with users, observing ways of working, collecting feedback, and deep-diving into current processes.
- Analyse existing business processes to identify simplification, automation, AI enablement, and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Propose ideas and practical use cases where AI can be embedded into standard processes to reduce manual effort, improve quality, accelerate execution, or simplify decision-making.
- Act as a bridge between business people, Process Owners, Digital Platform Leads, and technical teams, translating business needs into clear opportunities and solution proposals.
- Support the Digital Platform Leads in preparing business cases, use case descriptions, process maps, adoption plans, and benefit estimations.
- Contribute to MVPs, pilots, proof of concepts, and experimentation around AI, automation, and emerging digital technologies.
- Support business adoption of new digital and AI-enabled solutions through training material, user support, communication, and change management activities.
- Help create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by promoting curiosity, digital dexterity, and responsible AI adoption across functions.
- Support the prioritization of local requests and simplification initiatives together with Process Owners and Digital Platform Leads.
- Contribute to successful rollout of products, features, tools, and process improvements in the country.
- Help materialize tangible business value through simplification, time saving, process efficiency, adoption, and improved user experience.
- Support the development of digital capabilities in the function, helping users understand how to use AI and digital tools in a safe, compliant, and effective way.
- Participate in agile teams or project squads, representing the business user perspective and supporting discovery, testing, deployment, and adoption.
- Support productivity and efficiency initiatives through process digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Ensure that proposed AI and digital solutions respect GDPR, data privacy, cyber security, and responsible AI principles.
- Support user-centric product and service design by collecting user feedback, testing solutions, and proposing improvements.
- Support release, communication, and change management activities when new tools or improvements are introduced.
- Contribute to increasing cyber security, data protection, and responsible AI awareness among business users.

ARE YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
The role is suitable for an early-career professional with solid digital curiosity and initial exposure to AI, simplification, automation, or business transformation topics.
- Recommended experience: 1–3 years of professional experience, or equivalent internship, project, academic, or early work exposure;
- Experience, internship, thesis, university project, or early work exposure related to digital transformation, Innovation, AI, automation, process improvement, data analytics, business analysis, or technology adoption is considered a plus.
- Previous experience in a complex, international, or matrix organization is not mandatory but considered an advantage.
- Experience working with business users, process mapping, workshops, or digital tools is considered a plus:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Digital Transformation, Data Science, Economics, Innovation Management, or similar fields.
- Specific university projects, thesis work, or certifications related to AI, digital transformation, automation, data analytics, or process improvement are considered a plus.
- Certifications or training in Agile, Design Thinking, Project Management, AI fundamentals, Cyber Security, GDPR, or Microsoft technologies are considered a plus;
- Advanced level of Italian and English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders;
The ideal candidate combines digital curiosity, analytical thinking, business understanding, and communication skills. Relevant background or exposure may include:
- Basic understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, and emerging digital technologies.
- Interest in applying AI to simplify business processes responsibly.
- Basic knowledge of process analysis, mapping, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to translate business pain points into structured ideas or requirements.
- Good analytical mindset and ability to work with data, information, and user feedback.
- Curiosity to learn about enterprise platforms, business processes, and digital transformation.
- Ability to work with senior colleagues, business users, and technical experts.
- Basic project management, agile, and change management knowledge.
- Awareness of GDPR, cyber security, data privacy, and responsible AI principles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to create clear documentation, presentations, process maps, and use case descriptions.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365; Power Platform, Copilot, process mining, data visualization, automation, or low-code tools are a plus.
