The Café Assistant / Addetto Sala Bar is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with daily café operations, and ensuring a welcoming and clean environment for guests. The role involves serving customers, preparing beverages, handling orders, maintaining the café area, and supporting the bar and service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, soft drinks, snacks, and other café items.
- Assist baristas and service staff during busy periods.
- Set up and maintain tables, counters, and dining areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are followed.
- Refill supplies and assist with stock management.
- Handle customer requests and resolve basic service issues.
- Support opening and closing café procedures.
- Follow food safety and workplace safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with coffee preparation and bar service.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems.
