Within our Investment & Engineering team, part of Operations, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge machinery used in the production of power and telecommunications cables.
In this role, you will play a key part throughout the entire lifecycle of industrial projects—from concept and design to installation, commissioning, and production start-up—working in an international environment and collaborating with teams across the globe.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

Define electrical specifications for machinery and equipment used in cable manufacturing processes.

Design and develop solutions involving electrical systems, automation, power electronics, drives, and control systems.

Evaluate and select suppliers for electrical panels and automation solutions.

Support the installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment in Prysmian plants worldwide.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and robust engineering solutions.

Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics

At least five to seven years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the Industrial sector. Training will be provided if necessary.
Similar role does not mean an experience in a Company manufacturing cables ; similar role mean an experience in process automation whatever has been the final product of the Company of the previous activity . -
English Proficiency

Good communication, negotiation and team working skills. Ability to understand the context of the work environment
- Management of inter-departmental and multicultural relations, given the number of countries and plants of Prysmian

Ability to identify potential problems, either technical or procedural, propose solutions and involve other colleagues in developing these solutions when necessary
