Your impact
Jacobs is looking for an Environmental Permitting Project Manager to provide both technical and managing support on a range of multidisciplinary projects across Industrial, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors, in Italy and abroad.
By joining Jacobs, you will contribute to the Environmental Permitting & Compliance practice, working closely with Jacobs’ engineering teams and other disciplines. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health procedures
Reviewing and implementing project delivery strategies aligned with company objectives and overseeing project budgets and delivery performance
Develop and deliver high-quality project plans and reports, while effectively managing project procedures and forecasting performance against project schedules in alignment with client and internal requirements
Proactively contributing to the development of project delivery strategies
Managing activities across the full lifecycle of Environmental, Permitting, Health and Safety (EHS) services, including scope development, budget and schedule preparation, subcontractor coordination, site visits, reporting
Interacting with Public Authorities and other project stakeholders
Supporting Health & Safety (H&S) activities, focusing on internal compliance, continuous improvement, and client services
Building and maintaining strong Client relationships, while effectively addressing feedback
Here's what you'll need
Degree in Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
More than 5 years of experience in environmental and permitting projects, preferably supporting multinational private clients
Experience with environmental permitting processes and authorization (e.g., Italian VIA, AIA, AUA, and similar). Background in environmental permitting processes with Data Centers and Renewable Energy is an advantage
Commitment, proactivity and solid technical preparation
Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, able to quickly integrate into teams and effectively support colleagues in achieving the highest standards of professional performance
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and Italian
High level of collaboration with engineering teams and internal/external specialists
Background in international environments and multi-office projects, with strong collaboration with engineering teams and internal/external specialists is considered a plus
Know-how in performing compliance audits and due diligence assessments for industrial facilities, infrastructure, and new development projects is valued
Experience in noise environmental assessment and air emission is considered an advantage
Knowledge of sustainability and ESG consulting is considered a plus

Posted Salary Range: Upper
53,000.00
The offer range for this position is €42,400.00 to €53,000.00 gross per year (or hourly equivalent if hired into hourly role). The final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, gender neutral and job-related criteria, such as relevant professional experience, skills, qualifications, the scope of responsibilities and the contracted working hours/work schedule.
