Founded in 2006 in Paris, Reid Brewin Architects (RBA) has developed into a dynamic international practice, now home to more than 150 team members across our studios in London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, and Frankfurt. We specialise in high-specification, large-scale projects – particularly in data centres, commercial offices, and luxury retail. To support the continued growth of our Milan studio, RBA is seeking a Project Architect to join our team and work on complex development projects in Italy and across Europe, with a specific focus on data centres and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the briefing process and the production of project documentation (reports, drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and various technical documents).
- Manage and coordinate technical and economic feasibility studies for both small and large-scale projects.
- Coordinate architectural teams, consultants, and sub-consultants, ensuring compliance with schedule, quality standards, and budget.
- Develop concept designs and technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Prepare technical documentation for planning permissions and building permits (PDC, PDCC, masterplans, and support for EIA/SEA procedures), as well as approvals and consultation phases.
- Contribute to all project design phases, including risk assessment and risk management.
- Provide occasional support for construction supervision (Direzione Lavori), including site inspections, checking construction design compliance against detailed design, quality control during the construction phase, material inspections, and ensuring compliance with public authorities’ approvals and regulations.
- Present projects and reports to clients and coordinate communication among various stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal Project Architect has a proven track record in producing comprehensive architectural technical documentation across all project phases, combined with solid technical and professional expertise. You are self-motivated, proactive, and exhibit exceptional communication skills.
Completing the profile is the ability to successfully coordinate multidisciplinary teams, an in-depth understanding of Italian building regulations and permitting procedures, proficiency in BIM tools (Revit), and a strong approach oriented toward the effective management of time, costs, and relationships with both clients and consultants.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate professional experience
- Proven track record in coordinating design teams
- Strong design, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM methodology
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- In-depth knowledge of Italian building regulations and permitting procedure
- Experience with Italian administrative processes
- Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English
Desirable
- Experience with large-scale project
- Experience in data center or high-tech/commercial projects
- French and/or Spanish language skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
