The Barista / Addetto al Banco Caffetteria is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while providing excellent customer service. The role involves managing the coffee counter, maintaining cleanliness, handling customer orders, and ensuring a welcoming experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Take customer orders, process payments, and provide friendly and efficient service.
- Serve pastries, snacks, and light meals while ensuring attractive presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, counters, and customer areas.
- Restock ingredients, cups, supplies, and products as needed.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Handle customer requests, questions, and feedback professionally.
- Support daily café operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista, café assistant, or customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Basic cash handling and POS system experience.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
