Proposal Engineer
We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join our Cold Rolling Downstream Team, supporting the preparation and coordination of technical offers in line with client requirements, internal standard and cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the technical development of proposals, ensuring alignment between client specifications, internal standards, and supplier input.
- Define and validate preliminary plant layouts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and technical constraints.
- Support risk analysis activities, contributing to the identification of technical and execution risks.
- Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists, and scope definition.
- Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates, identifying gaps or optimization opportunities.
- Prepare and integrate technical documentation for the final offer submission.
- Monitor progress of proposal development, ensuring timely execution and corrective actions when required.
- Contribute to the evaluation of suppliers’ quotations and technical alignment.
- Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers in the final validation and submission of the offer.
- Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
- Contribute to market and technology monitoring within the cold rolling sector.
What we ask for
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
- Good knowledge of contract types and their main features, including international contracts.
- Knowledge of CRM and SAP is mandatory.
- Knowledge of CAD Software, basic automation and data analysis tools is considered a plus.
- Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken) and additional language is an added value.
- Strong teamwork, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

For the position, the starting gross annual salary will be from € 42.000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s seniority, experience, and skills, as well as the outcome of the selection process.
