We are seeking a Quality Assurance Programmable Platform Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of programmable electronic controllers before their official release to production. The engineer will work across both software and hardware domains, defining and executing test strategies, validating product functionality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, and international development teams to ensure products meet customer and business requirements.
This job is based in Belluno, Italy , and regular on-site presence is required.
Salary: €28,000 - €40,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Contribute to the definition and review of product requirements and features in collaboration with Product Management and other stakeholders.
- Define, document, and verify product use cases and functional requirements.
- Design, execute, and maintain functional testing activities for both software and hardware components.
- Define and manage laboratory test setups for product validation and verification.
- Identify product improvement opportunities and provide feedback to Engineering and Product Management teams.
- Support the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions and test environments.
- Collaborate with global teams to investigate issues, perform debugging activities, and improve product performance.
- Support continuous integration (CI) processes and contribute to increased test automation.
- Provide advanced technical support and product expertise for complex customer issues.
- Prepare test documentation, validation reports, and defect analysis records.
- Technical education in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar solutions.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Basic coding knowledge or experience with software development concepts.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced English language skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in quality assurance, testing, validation, or verification of software and electronic products.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and automated testing environments.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI/CD) tools and processes.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and programmable electronic controllers.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and secure product development practices.
- Experience troubleshooting both software and hardware-related issues.
- Proactive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to continuously develop technical competencies.
