A Production Operator (Operatore di Produzione) is responsible for operating machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. The role involves following production schedules, monitoring machine performance, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Assemble, process, or package products based on production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Perform routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Record production data, including output, downtime, and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Handle raw materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage but not always required.
- Ability to operate machinery and use basic production tools.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends if required.
- Basic problem-solving skills and teamwork attitude.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials when necessary.
