Post-doc position in Immunology and Epigenetics of Cancer
Istituto Nazionale Oncologico Candiolo (INOC) IRCCS
Immunity & cancer Unit, Dr. Luigia Pace
The Armenise-Harvard laboratory of Immunity and Cancer, at the INOC IRCCS ((https://inoc.it/it/ricercatori/luigia-pace/) is seeking for a highly motivated Postdoc in Immunology and Epigenetics.
Research: The lab addresses fundamental aspects of immune responses, related to memory T cell differentiation and long-term protective immunity. This research aims to understand how T lymphocytes integrate complex environmental stimuli and translate these signals into specific epigenetic and differentiation programs, which specify T cell fate commitment and function. The research’s goal is to use this knowledge to develop novel strategies for the prevention and treatment of cancer, in immunotherapy and vaccine development.
To achieve these goals, we combine a variety of approaches, genetic and genomic techniques, including high throughput genetic engineering, multiparametric flowcytometry, single cell multi-omics, spatial transcriptomics and epigenetics tools, in the context of cancer.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Strong background and experience in immunology, molecular biology, or epigenetics
- First-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred
- Good communication skills and self-motivation
- Proficiency in English
- Communication skills and team work attitude are important requirement.
The main goal of INOC IRCCS (https://inoc.it/it/#) is to foster and develop excellence in research and education, with special reference to cancer genomic and immunology. The institute provides high-level scientific education for students and post-doctoral fellows, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities and international networks.
To apply for this position, please submit a cover letter (in English) describing research experience, interests, motivation, CV and contact information for at least two references (name, address, email) to:[email protected]
Review of applications will begin immediately, till position is filled.
