This role will support the buying and merchandising processes focusing on the EMEA Outlet channel, helping to curate and manage an exclusive product assortment that reflects our brand's high standards and exceptional customer experience. As an Associate Buyer, you will work closely with the buying team to ensure that the right products are reaching our customers through a well-established and growing European store network.
A Day in the Life:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product & Assortment Planning
-
Participate in the building of assortments during market and create buying strategies down to classification level.

Think strategically about SKU productivity and in store presentations while assorting the line.
- Gain a strong understanding of the Tory Burch customer: visit stores frequently, review product performance, and communicate learnings back to team.

Competitive knowledge: competitive shop analysis, read relevant publications to stay on top of trends.
-
Maintain buy plans to ensure accuracy, act as the point person for communication with cross-functional teams and store employees.

Execute and initiate on in-season strategies as determined by buying team.
-
Markdown management – pricing and store communication.
-
Respond to store requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
-
Review historical performance at the category and key item level on weekly basis.

Partner with planning and senior buyer on the determination of receipt plans, margin/IMU targets, and product flow.
Cross Functional Collaboration
-
Build cross-functional team relationships; adopt a collaborative style.
-
Recommend, support, and implement process and procedural improvements into daily responsibilities.
-
Partner with Planning and Allocation on the following processes: assortment planning, OTB, in season strategies and allocations to maximize inventory performance.

Work cross functionally with Stores, Marketing, PR, EComm, Visual and Retail Operations, to ensure they have the tools to understand and support the assortment strategy.

Partner with merchandising team to ensure balanced assortment and share product feedback.
Strategic Thinking and Financial Acumen

Support with preparation of reports and pull data necessary to recap business and propose actions to drive sales.

Maintain accurate warehouse dates and communicate any delays in new deliveries.

Understanding of retail math and participation in open to buy forecasting process with planning
To Land This Role:
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
To deliver the main responsibilities of the role, you will need the following skills:
Proven track record in Buying / merchandising within luxury/premium fashion environment
Minimum experience of 3-5 years in a similar capacity, preferably with an Outlet background

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Must have advanced Excel skills

Experience in working in multiple currencies

Strong and effective presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively

Technical:

Strong IT and Analytical skills; Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel skills required, must be comfortable handling and manipulating large data sets.

Skilled on Microsoft office PowerPoint.

Ability to quickly learn other Company’s tools. Knowledge of SAP and MicroStrategy a plus.
