We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of steel structures for various energy infrastructure projects and applications, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with international standards.
How you'll make an impact
- Perform structural and mechanical design and analysis of components, systems, and structures using relevant software (e.g. PTC Creo, TEKLA, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD).
- Develop and review technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
- Conduct stress, vibration, fatigue, and seismic analyses to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (electrical, civil, manufacturing) to integrate mechanical designs into overall project solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for structural components.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., EN, ISO, ASME), and company policies.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Investigate and troubleshoot structural or mechanical issues, proposing effective solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural and mechanical engineering technologies and methodologies.
Your background
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in structural mechanical design and analysis, preferably within the energy or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material science, and relevant design codes and standards.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. PTC Creo, TEKLA, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD).
- Ability to perform complex engineering calculations and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in English and Italian (both written and spoken) is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management principles is an advantage.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
Starting from: 38000 € gross
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
