We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager who will oversee the company's administrative and accounting activities while contributing to the development of efficient financial processes and internal controls.
The person will directly report to our CFO and act as a key business partner for local management and the Finance teams at Headquarter, ensuring compliance with Italian regulations and supporting the company's organizational growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in an evolving environment where processes are continuously improving and collaboration across international teams is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and coordinate all accounting activities of the Italian Business Unit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution;
- Ensure compliance with Italian accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate requirements;
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes;
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and support external and internal audits;
- Prepare accurate financial reports and accounting packages for local Management and Headquarters;
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and treasury activities;
- Ensure timely tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors and accounting consultants;
- Monitor cash flow and support financial planning activities;
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls in accordance with Group policies and local regulations;
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting procedures and administrative processes;
- Collaborate closely with the Headquarters Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting;
- Coordinate relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, banks, and public authorities;
- Support ERP implementation, system enhancements, and finance process digitalization initiatives;
- Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement;
- Support the Finance Director and local Management by providing reliable financial information and accounting insights to facilitate business decisions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- At least 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or administration, with experience in a managerial role;
- Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles, tax regulations, and corporate compliance;
- Experience in multinational companies or fast-growing organizations;
- Experience working with international headquarters; exposure to Asian business environments is considered a plus;
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset;
- Ability to build, optimize, and standardize processes in a growing organization;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures;
- Italian mothertongue and fluent in English; knowledge of Chinese is considered a plus.
