WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a sales advisor you will inspire guests to make the most of their Costa journey. By combining storytelling, relationship-building and sales expertise, you will help them discover unforgettable experiences while contributing to the success of our onboard business. Every conversation will be an opportunity to create value, excitement and lasting memories.
Customer Relationship & Guest Experience
- Build trusted relationships with guests, acting as their onboard consultant and point of reference.
- Create personalized experiences by understanding guest needs and recommending the most relevant products, services and experiences.
- Use engaging storytelling and tailored communication to inspire guests and enhance their cruise journey.
Consultative Selling & Revenue Growth
- Recommend the right product, service or experience at the right moment, through a consultative approach.
- Maximize revenue through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Overcome objections, guide purchasing decisions and successfully close sales.
Commercial Excellence & Business Impact
- Apply retail best practices, including visual merchandising, process optimization and asset protection.
- Monitor sales targets and support onboard departments in achieving their commercial goals.
- Support the development of sales capabilities across onboard teams.
- Actively contribute to revenue meetings, proposing new ideas to drive business growth.
Safety & Professional Standards
- Promote a culture of safety, service excellence and professionalism, ensuring compliance with company health and safety procedures.
WHO YOU ARE
Required:
- Secondary school diploma or degree in tourism, languages or humanities
- At least 1 year of experience in Retail/Sales, ideally in cross-/up-selling or onboard revenue roles
- Excellent command of English (C1) and knowledge of 2 other languages at minimum B2 level (Italian, French, German, Spanish)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Customer-focused and relationship-driven, with a natural ability to build trust and create memorable experiences
- Results-oriented and resilient, motivated to achieve ambitious goals
- Authentic communicator and storyteller, able to inspire and engage with energy and empathy
- Curious, positive and open-minded, bringing creativity, inclusivity and a proactive attitude to every interaction.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, comfortable working across different departments, building strong partnerships and contributing to shared goals.
