Business and Range Development Specialist Vehicle Aftermarket - SKF Automotive Business
Manage complete process for kit content characterization and modification including car application research through product validation, for all products that are added to the portfolio. It also includes the product technical information in SKF different systems that will be provided to TecDoc technical support teams, Sales and to Customers. Provides specialized technical support to Customer service and Sales teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full process for SKF kit product content characterization, application research, technical assessment and product modification, this for products added to or updated within the portfolio.
- Define new kit content and validate product applications by researching OE data, vehicle applications, engine configurations, microfiches and available technical sources.
- Assess technical product risk and application constraints, ensuring that products selected are technically sound and fit for the intended car application.
- Maintain and update product technical information in SKF systems required to support TecDoc, Sales, Customer Service and customer-facing activities.
- Responsible for new product portfolio creations or kit content modification processes, ensuring Purchasing , Planning and Production processes are in place.
- Provide expert technical support to Product Line Management, Sales, Customer Service, Helpline teams and customers, helping resolve product application questions and product technical enquiries.
- Monitor OE evolution, competitor ranges and aftermarket developments to identify opportunities for new products, range extensions, substitutions and product rationalization.
- Support regional portfolio reviews by providing technical analysis, application coverage insights, range gap identification and recommendations for portfolio prioritization in line with Market requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Line Management, Product Information Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing and Regional Sales to ensure portfolio initiatives are technically robust and commercially aligned.
Requirements
- Technical bachelor’s degree Or relevant working experience as service adviser in garages.
- Kknowledge of automotive applications, engine configurations, operating principles and aftermarket product fitment requirements.
- Ability to process, validate and manage application data accurately across vehicle, engine, OE, product and catalogue information.
- Good business understanding with the ability to connect technical product decisions to customer needs, portfolio performance and regional growth priorities.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work with data, benchmarks and technical documentation.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to learn, adapt and support continuous product and portfolio improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to work with SKF systems and product information tools.
- Proficient in English. Any other language like Polish would be a stronger asset.
- Any experience with Chinese vehicles would be a PLUS

For this position, the starting point of the salary range is a gross annual salary (base salary) of €42.000 The compensation package also includes company performance-related bonuses.
The National Labor Contract applied is “CCNL Industria Metalmeccanica”.
