Sidel is looking for a motivated and analytical intern to support the Sourcing team for Drawing Based Materials – Modules within the Supply Chain organization. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across sourcing activities for mechanical modules, working in an international and cross-functional environment. The intern will contribute directly to sourcing projects, supplier management and cost optimization initiatives, gaining exposure to strategic sourcing processes and category management.
- Support the Commodity Manager in the implementation of sourcing strategies for mechanical modules and assemblies;

Contribute to RFQ activities, including quotation collection, supplier comparison and evaluation;

Analyze supplier quotations and support cost breakdown and sourcing optimization analyses;

Support supplier spend analysis, performance monitoring and reporting activities;

Conduct benchmarking and market analysis (steel, fabrication, machining) to identify trends and opportunities;

Participate in the preparation of negotiation activities (commercial conditions, lead time, capacity);

Ensure data accuracy and support updates in SAP (prices, suppliers, material codes);

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain in cross-functional sourcing projects;

Contribute to supplier risk assessment and mitigation initiatives.
- Master’s Degree student in Engineering, Economics or related fields;

Fluent in English and Italian (French is a plus);

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel;

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;

Interest in manufacturing processes (sheet metal, welding, machining);

Good communication and stakeholder management skills;

Well-organized, proactive and willing to learn in a cross-functional environment.
