Job Title: IT Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology infrastructure and support teams. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our internal systems, networks, and hardware. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, managing vendor relationships, overseeing IT budgets, and leading a team of system administrators and help desk technicians.
Key Responsibilities1. Infrastructure & Operations Management
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of all internal IT systems, including servers, networks (LAN/WAN), firewalls, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery protocols are in place, tested, and updated regularly.
- Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets (procurement, deployment, upgrades, and disposal).
2. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of [e.g., 5-10] IT professionals, including Help Desk and Systems Administrators.
- Conduct performance reviews, facilitate training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer service.
- Manage scheduling and escalations to ensure timely resolution of support tickets (SLA adherence).
3. Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, access controls, and data protection measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001) depending on the industry.
- Coordinate regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and patch management cycles.
4. Strategic Planning & Budgeting
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget, forecasting hardware/software needs and operational costs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT strategy with business goals (digital transformation, scalability).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for process improvements or cost savings.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, MSPs, and telecom providers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage service-level agreements to ensure value and performance.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT management, network administration, or systems engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365/Azure environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills (ability to handle "fire drills" calmly).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
